Bringing You the Best!

Ceres Solutions is proud to announce three new Certified Crop Advisors on their team. Adam Edwards of New Lebanon, Shane McCullough of Farmersburg, and Greg Babcock of Boswell, have all been certified or will soon be certified to better serve you.
Certified Crop Advisors’ training enables them to advise farmers about the best support and protection for their crops. The program is offered through the American Society of Agronomy, or ASA, and provides a base level standard through testing. The standard is then raised through continuing participant’s education. Each CCA must complete Continuing Education Units, or CEUs, to retain a valid title.
In order to become certified, each participant has to pass two exams. The exams cover four competency areas which include: nutrient management, soil and water management, integrated pest management, and crop management. They also have to submit their credentials detailing their education, crop advising experience, and two references.
