Ceres Solutions Employee Wins State Award
CountryMark – an Indiana-based, farmer-owned cooperative – recently presented its annual Achievement Awards. Dennis Deardurff of Morocco, Ind., was honored as the Central Region Petroleum Sales Representative of the Year. Deardurff was nominated for the award by Howard Jones of Ceres Solutions and Larry Kinser of CountryMark.
According to Jones, Dennis Deardurff is willing to put in whatever time it takes to get the job done.
“Dennis routinely starts before the sun comes up and works after it sets to accomplish his objective, which is to provide outstanding service to his customers,” said Jones. “Dennis plans his next day the night before, allowing him to achieve optimum route efficiency as well as allocate time for customer service.”
This past year, Deardurff delivered more than 1.3 million gallons of Indiana-refined CountryMark fuel, and more than 3,000 gallons of motor oil. Deardurff’s typical day includes stops to deliver fuels and lubricants to Indiana farms, road construction sites, wind farm projects, as well as trucking fleets.
According to those who know him best, Deardurff does a remarkable job with customer service and repeat business. “Dennis maintains a close contact with those accounts which may have a project here this year, leave for a time, and then come back,” said Jones.
Larry Kinser of CountryMark added that this Newton County man is known for his outstanding work ethic. “Dennis knew that he would be retiring soon, yet that did not temper his desire, drive or focus on maintaining his current gallons or acquiring new gallons,” said Kinser. Deardurff recently announced he would be retiring after 40-plus years in the fuel business.
Ceres Solutions provides tankwagon and transport delivery of CountryMark fuels and lubricants to customers in Newton, Jasper, Benton, Warren, Tippecanoe, Fountain, Montgomery, Vermillion, Parke, Vigo, Clay, Sullivan and Knox counties. The CountryMark annual awards banquet is designed to recognize the best professionals within the local farmer-owned cooperatives that deliver CountryMark branded fuels.
